Bangkok,– The much-anticipated art show CIRCUS Bangkok Charity Tour took place on October 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the warehouse of T.H. Corporation Co., Ltd. located at OLD TOWN GALLERY. The exhibition showcased Heart Landscapes series with 20 original works by renowned Italian artist Gianluca Vernizzi. This unique event is a three-hours flash art show designed to occur in unconventional art settings such as factories, warehouses, or artisanal workshops. By placing art within the genius loci of artisanal or industrial environments, CIRCUS aims to explore the intersection of human creativity, skill, and the technologies we use, highlighting how the brain and heart shall work together in harmony. Following its debut in Modena, Italy, this Bangkok edition will transform the warehouse into a space of artistic and emotional reflection, showcasing Vernizzi’s latest work.

The CIRCUS format challenges traditional art exhibition ‘architectures’, creating site-specific events that highlight both the physical setting, manpower and the cultural surroundings. CIRCUS debuted May 24, 2024 with the Modena Tour at Fucina Colore, the color lab of international garment dyeing leader Tintoria Emiliana, under the curation of Marco Mango. Now, CIRCUS Bangkok will focus on Vernizzi’s series Heart Landscapes, which marks the public launch of his heartShare project.

Supporting a Cause: Proceeds for Charity

In addition to showcasing Vernizzi’s artwork, the CIRCUS Bangkok Charity Tour will include the sale of limited-edition art t-shirts. Proceeds from these sales, after costs, will be donated to the Thai Red Cross Children Home, making the event not only a celebration of creativity but also an opportunity to give back to the community.

About Heart Landscapes​

Vernizzi’s Heart Landscapes series is an artistic tribute to the human heart— emphasizing both its physical and symbolic significance. In the face of global turbulence, this collection explores the heart’s centrality to human existence and its role in emotional, spiritual, and even romantic realms. Vernizzi creates landscapes “seen by the heart, but invisible to the eyes.” The works in the Heart Landscapes series are rooted in Vernizzi’s personal journey. In 2013, the artist used his own electrocardiogram (ECG) as the foundation for a series of digital drawings. These abstract imageries were manipulated with AI filters and in 2024 printed on museum-grade cotton paper, and then being transformed into reformational paintings that deconstructed the digital artifact through human painting gestures.

Gianluca Vernizzi is an acclaimed Italian artist known for his unique systemic approach to visual art rooted in fractal theory and epigenetic. His works focus on the core theme of fleeting equilibrium conceptualizing that every act of creation is destined to express only a temporary state of harmony. He uses both traditional and cutting-edge proprietary color technology. His Heart Landscapes series continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, utilizing innovative techniques and processes to explore the invisible yet vital dimensions of the human patterns’ complexity.
